Tetra AquaSafe makes tap water safe for fish. This is an essential requirement for healthy fish and a sustainable aquarium. Tap water is usually used when setting up an aquarium, conducting water changes and transporting fish. However, this has not been formulated to meet the aquarium inhabitants’ needs. Tap water contains low amounts of heavy metals and chlorine compounds, excessively high concentrations of which can be harmful to aquarium fish, invertebrates, plants and microorganisms. Tetra AquaSafe neutralises the heavy metals copper, lead and zinc and eliminates toxic chlorine and chloramine. As a result, it not only makes tap water safe for fish but also adds important minerals and trace elements, which are possibly present only in small quantities in tap water: iodine supports the vitality of the aquarium inhabitants while magnesium promotes the growth and well-being of the fish and plants. Tetra AquaSafe furthermore improves the bioactivity of microorganisms. This encourages natural filtration and improves the clarity of the aquarium water. The special vitamin B mix sustainably strengthens the health of the aquarium inhabitants and reduces stress. Tetra AquaSafe is also optimally tailored to the care needs of the aquarium fish: the natural algae extract protects the fishes’ mucous membranes and gills against damaging environmental influences. Furthermore it improves the settling and bioactivity of beneficial bacteria. This promotes biological filtration and thus promotes clear aquarium water. The formulation quickly dissolves in the water and acts with a long-term effect. Tetra AquaSafe is suitable for all freshwater and marine aquaria. When using in marine aquaria, the protein skimmer should be switched off for several hours when using Tetra AquaSafe as large amounts of foam can otherwise form.
